The Great Queens Pantry Dessert Bake Off That’s Not Just For The British But Open to all!

To All To celebrate 10 years of The Queen's Pantry, we are running the Great Queens Pantry Dessert Bake Off That’s Not Just For The British But Open To All (GQPDBOTNJFTBBOTA), on Saturday 8th October.

Bake your best dessert, bring it into The Queen's Pantry and the customers and I (but mostly I) will set our taste buds on it . Once we have scoffed all of your desserts, we will sit down for a nap. Then our collective taste buds will decide which dessert is the best and our GQPDBOTNJFTBBOTA Winner (GQPDBOTNJFTBBOTAW) will be announced.

Whilst we start our diet, you can tell the world that you are the GQPDBOTNJFTBBOTAW (pronounced ‘Gqpdbotnjftbbotaw’). They’ll say ‘What a mouthful!’ and you’ll say ‘That’s what the judges said about my cake’, and everyone will laugh and think that, not only are you a master baker, but also a foppish wit. At least that’s what you think they said.

So budding Martha Stewarts. Duff Goldmans. Delia Smiths. Where are you? (Google ‘Delia Smith Where are You’). Dust off those aprons, butter those buns and let battle commence. The (oven) gloves are off*. Advice on other tips on how to fill your face with cake without arousing suspicion, and for entry rules, please email sam@thequeenspantry.com

*Note from our lawyers. Do NOT take your oven gloves off when removing hot stuff from the oven.
