THE JOB -Shop Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and offering assistance.
- Recommending products or merchandise to help customers.
- Answer questions and address concerns.
- Informing customers about sales, promotions, policies.
- Taking payments for purchases, packaging purchases.
- Stocking merchandise and creating displays.
- Taking inventory and monitoring sales floor.
- Answering incoming calls.
Skills and experience:
- A high school qualification or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a small retail store.
- An understanding of terminology, such pos and inventory.
- A general knowledge of British foods is beneficial.
- A friendly and hard-working disposition.
- Ability to spend long shifts on your feet, perform physical labor, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Flexible schedule.
- Punctual with good time management skills.
- Well-presented appearance.
THE JOB – Stock Room Clerk
Responsibilities:
- Receiving goods from suppliers.
- Assisting in checking the correctness and condition of deliveries.
- Verifying the contents of consignments.
- Transferring stock inside the stockroom.
- Labelling items for pricing, storage, and transfer.
- Assisting with stock-taking activities.
- Notifying supervisors and managers of inventory levels.
- Packing items for storage and retail display.
- Supporting the retail staff in the course of their duties.
- Following state and federal safety standards.
Skills and experience:
- A high school qualification or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or retail environment is preferred.
- An understanding of terminology, such as receiving, inventory, and shelving.
- Basic knowledge of using a POS system will be beneficial.
- A general knowledge of British foods may be beneficial but not essential.
- A friendly and hard-working disposition.
- Ability to spend long shifts on your feet, perform physical labor, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
