The history of Stockan's Oatcakes began in 1890 when Gilbert Archer, the great-grandfather of the current owners, started his job at Tod's Wholesale. After a few years, the enterprising Gilbert Arche became a partner and expanded the company. In 1986, the bakery "Stockan's" was bought and brought the popular thin oatcakes with them to the company.
